Help with PS3 remote play running FW 1.02
« on: March 10, 2009, 09:25:33 AM »

Hi, i am having trouble setting up the remote play connection on the dgl 4500, I am running FW 1.02 and refuse to upgrade as i have read the the latest FW (1.15) causes more problems when trying to use remote play. Ok to the meat of the problem, My ps3 is currently assigned a static IP through the router, and is currently having port 9293 forwarded to it (this is the remote play port as listed from sony). When at home I can connect to the PS3 by selecting connect via internet or connect directly to the ps3. Connect via private network however is not working (says that the playstation that my psp is paired with can't be found). When at school though I can't seem to connect to my ps3 at home due to time outs. So my question is if any of you guys had/have a working remote play connection on FW 1.02 and if so what were your connection settings?

I would like to fix:

First and most importantly : the ability to connect to the ps3 from outside my home network

secondly and mush less importantly : the ability to connect via private network

Thanks for reading Philo

Oh i also wanted to add that I am able to avoid remote start from randomly turning on my ps3 by simply turning off the PS3 by holding down the center button on the controller and choosing turn off system from there, NOT i repeat NOT choosing to turn the system off from the cross bar or on the button on the actual unit, I don't know why this works it just seems to.
