[SOLVED]Unable to access to my NAS from outside my lan !!!
« on: February 08, 2012, 05:07:40 AM »

Hi everybody,
since the last firmware update i'm unable to connect to my NAS from the internet
with the firmware 2.0 everything was ok ,  but now with the latest firmware
i can view the login page from my NAS , so it seems that my router is well configured
but when i enter my password to access to the NAS interface
i've only a page with "404 not found" and just a text nginx !!
when i try to access to the interface directly from my own network everything is ok
one of my friend have the same problem since the last firmware update
anyone have hints to make my NAS  accessible from internet ?

thanks a lot for your answers !!

Hi,
I'm not sure went south with your 320 after the firmware upgrade, but I had trouble with some settings and services not being functional.  You cannot use an old backup configuration file from 2.0 and I had to manually go in and re-save many settings, even ones which showed as enabled, to actually start working again.  Some posts have recommended doing a factory reset and re-entering your settings.  It's possible your IP got changed, you don't say if you are using a ddns service or not.  If you think this might be an issue.  The links below are helpful in settng up the Web File Server and or FTP server.  The second link also has directions for Dlink's ddns service if needed.  Hope this helps.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_404

I believe Cable2 was referring to making sure all settings are correct for the NAS in regards to http server. If they are, remove them, save, reboot and configure it again.

I had to enable the secured SSL login and had to route the 443 port  on my router

Nothing strange, if you enable secure http access you need to port-forward port 443.

Nothing strange, if you enable secure http access you need to port-forward port 443.

When i'm on my own lan everything works well especially, i don't have to specify secure access
i've this NAS since approximately 1 Year and it worked fine without ssl access or any 443 port-forward !!
and this is what is STRANGE
i think that something changed since the previous beta firmware (as i said before everything worked flawessly with 2.0)

Another problem i had with the firmware 2.02 (not on 2.0) but i've solved it,
is the 0 bytes files after copying/moving with a tool like Supercopier
to solve this issue i muist disable supercopier and move file with the native copy command of windows :-)

Another strange bug perhaps with the way that CFS on the NAS works
