D-Link and Roku
« on: March 11, 2009, 07:34:20 AM »

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has had any success with connecting the D-Link Dir615 to the Roku Soundbridge devices.

I am using the SB M1000, and have set the router to mixed b and g mode, disable wmn enabled UPnP and enabled multicast.

The SB can find and play Internet radio but can not locate and play my itunes libraries. If I completely turn off my norton firewall (I have opened the ports) the device will see my windows media player libraries (some not all) but will only show three songs (and they are the same in each library).

I have tried the Roku forums and they say to dump the router, however I have been having issues with my network which are now smoothed over, so I would rather not dump the router at this point.

Can anyone suggest any settings that I can make to get these devices to work together.

Thanks

Hardware B2
Firmware 2.25

Update, I downloaded Squeecenter from Logitech, and I can now access my full Itunes library through that (well not .acc files) but the rest of my libraries are visible. I may have found a work-around. Now just to create playlists with no .acc files (ugh).

I have similar issue when using my Roku1000 with Rhapsody client. Roku cannot find any music library. Acutally it is not correctly connected to the wifi network(DNS and Gateway are all 0s). My router fmw = 3.01. The security mode is set to WEP. I have no problem connecting with Itouch or a laptop to this router. Any help appreciated.
