Hello,

I have the same Problem - no connection to the router and the power LED is orange after trying to upgrade from DSR-500N_A1_FW1.04B13_WW to DSR-500N_A1_FW1.06B11_WW by using a cable connection and the GUI. Can anybody tell me how this can be solved?

Thanks a lot,

Jürgen

What region are you located?
I would contact your local DLink support office for help on this.

I don't remember what that link was too, I think it was to a notification for DSR users and support suggestions since at the time, the DSR wasn't marketed much in the U.S. and just recommended to users to directly contact DLink support for the DSR series routers.

Is the one router non functional now after trying to update it?

Have you tried to reset the router with the reset button?
Only thing you can try is this:
Emergency Recovery Mode
If that fails then you need to contact your local regional DLink support office and talk to them. This unit maybe in a bad state of operation and seems to need technical review and you'll probably need to RMA the unit back to DLink.

I'm not aware of any other DLink forum web site for DSR series routers.
Let us know how it goes.

IF you have successfully sent the FW and recovered the routers operation, it should be at factory defaults and using the log in defaults. Are the default log in mentioned in the user manual?
I know for DIR series routers the log in is admin and the password is blank. Not sure if the applies to DSR series routers though.
