I am an IT technician for a company that uses dlink dcs cameras and the dviewcam software for security purposes. The current system has been in place since well before I started. I've been with the company for almost a year.
The version in use is 2.03. From my research, it appears our version in use is quite outdated. I've been testing version 3.2 on another server.
I am trying to find an easier way to playback video off the old server that has 2.03. I'm trying to find a better way to show my department managers video from their departments. I seem to be having quite a bit of difficulty converting the files to a medium that is easier to work with.
Anyone have any insight into how I can either import the videos from 2.03 into 3.2 and then convert them. When I try to convert to avi straight from 2.03 I continuously get files that are 0kb in size.
Any help would be appreciated.
