Hello,

I'm owning a router DIR-600 since more than one year and half and it is perfectly stable for cable LAN usage.

Since I updated the firmware from v2.02 to 2.05, I am experiencing weird issues when trying to enable the Wi-Fi via a Schedule for Work Days (Monday to Friday, 07h30 to 22h30).

Issues:
 - Schedule = Always => NO problem, Wi-Fi active and all other settings are OK and modfiable.
 - Schedule = "Work_Days" => Settings reset to defaults + becoming grey (=NOT modifiable).

Since default settings make NO security (=Open) against WPA2+PSK+AES like I want, I am forced to leave Wi-Fi ON non stop...


For information:
 - HW: B2E
 - FW: 2.05 (updated from 2.02 last week)
 - I had the configuration working once only. Was just after the Firmware Update (curiously, the existing configuration was NOT cleared by Update Process)
 - Settings Reseted to default via both Web interface and Reset Button => No Change after re-configuration from scratch.
 - Not tried yet to return to previous firmware (v2.02).


So, I would like to know if someone else experienced similar issues when Enabling Wi-Fi via a Schedule and what should I try to fix the issue.

 - Just after FW update, I did nothing else than use it as is.
   (surprisingly, the old config' was still there...)

 - Later, I reseted to default settings and did everything from scratch.
   (I never re-use configs backups made with different FW versions )

There is v2.10 for this model however it's EU. Not sure if that will work for you.
Use the FW update process outlined int the FW Update sticky in this forum.


Eh, that might be for Rev B5 routers. I would go back to 2.02 and see. IF it works there, I would keep that for now.

If anything, call your local DLink support office and ask them specifically what is the most current version of FW is for your router Rev.

Where did you found this "v2.10" on a D-Link server accessible from public?

For now, just came back to v2.02.
Just being "lazzy", I did a "Reset to Default Settings" before to upload my saved configuration for FW 2.02.
The joke is: NOTHING at all after the count down following this Config Upload.

I'm starting to think that this firmware is really not so "wonderful" after all. 

If anything, call your local DLink support office and ask them specifically what is the most current version of FW is for your router Rev.

I may try that if nothing better.

Well, I'm done with the configuration of the router, the weird problem is still there...

I'm giving up for tonight (almost 3am...)

No one can say that I never tried hard to make my DIR-600 router a bit "greener" about power saving...

Yes. Sorry, it was so late for me..., I forgot to mention that it was about the v2.02 in my last / previous post.

I'm going to redo the update from 2.02 to 2.05 since there is no change for me in what's happening but, at least, it would be a safer firmware (I hope)...

By the way, got right now another issue still poping up sometimes:
 - When I connecting back to my router's WLAN (=Wi-Fi) after I left the company's WLAN, I'm getting a "Limited or No connectivity" error mesasge from MS-WinXP pro 32-bits.

When I check the properties, I c an see that the settings are no more WPA2 only but WPA2-PSK.

I don't really understand what's the difference between those two options on my Windows PC which is a HP ProBook 4520s.
(for info, a colleague have the same issue with his Fujitsu under MS-Win7 when using my router's WLAN).

The funny is that I have to select and save the "WPA2 only" setting to benefit from my Wi-Fi connection again. 


On the Router side, configuration is: WPA2 + PSK + AES
(Nothing "automatic" there)

Any idea or bell ring from another poster?
If not, I'm going to open another thread about this issue.
