format failure western digital WD1001fals,
« on: March 14, 2009, 01:06:36 PM »

 I have tried firmware 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 with IE7 and firefox browser. i have 2 WD1001fals this is why i have tested standard, jbod,raid1, raid0.

the problem is during the formatting the completion process run as 1%,2%,3%... until 7% after that jump at 94%,95%.... and 100% after that it says formatting failure.

Those 2 drives are working fine under windows or linux.

Why i have bought that ...

Do not format the drives under windows or linux. Remove all partitions and re-insert into the DNS-323.
