You can't "kill" ARP without having your network not function.   ... although there's no reason it should be polling, so certainly there should be a way to shut the router up in that regard.

Does turning off DHCP kill ARP?

I'll check it out tomorrow when I can reboot into Ubuntu.  Have too many things going on at the moment to stop downloading, lol.

So much for doing it tomorrow.   :)  Another post about the DNS-323 got me motivated...

Turning DHCP off does not change ARP behavior.  This isn't my area of expertise, though.  I'm not sure how ARP is supposed to behave according to spec.

Did anyone ever find a solution to this?  I'm experiencing the same thing....my DIR-655 is sending broadcast ARP requests every 60 seconds which is waking up my PCs...

Apparently this behavior also causes problems with the PS3...little more info here:
