Dropping wireless
« on: March 07, 2012, 03:40:19 PM »

My 4500 has been losing wireless capabilities. Had been solving by unplugging and plug back in. Now, nothing. Wired works fine. When I go into the router screen in the status section I find, Wireless Radio: Init failed. Is there some way to fix this or is it time for a new one?

I came across this old post regarding the initialization failed..

I would also save your configuration, and reset it and load your configuration.

Hmm.. Upon further investigation, time for a new one. :(  http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=6095.msg36762#msg36762

Granted, it's for the DIR-655, but I'm sure the 4500 qualifies also..
