Setting up wide hotspot / isp service!
« on: March 09, 2012, 11:55:30 AM »

Hello,
I came to the forum to seek help from experts in wireless fields and networking as I have an idea I would like to make come true.
The problem is I am not 100% sure what equipment I need nor do I have this set up corectly!

What I want is to build a hotspot all around my little town as:
myserver -> switch ->multiple routers with wlan antenas one for clients one to send signal -> far away switch with multiple routers and client antenas..

I know this does not make a lot of sence so I have made this sketch of how this would look like basicly I want to allow users to connect to my WLAN all around the town I live in (aprox 300 citizens).

Here is the sketch:

And my town:

In my sketch the problem that I am worried about is:
a) Would that be a correct way or should I use only routers or some different combinations?
b) What if 50 users connect on the switch "C" (not in sketch just fictional) and all this connection packets have to go to "B" than "A" than the server itself!
Would that slow things down a lot?
c) Later I would like to set up the server to be "buy and surf" software recomandations?

I am open to comments, ideas, solutions and any help I can get regarding this!
Please suggest me the hardware that would do the best job!

Thank you for your time!
