No link between 5ghz clients and wired lan
« on: March 20, 2012, 10:05:53 PM »

I have a dir-825 and wireless clients connected on the 5ghz ssid can see clients on 2.4 ssid and also out to the WAN (internet) but can't see any clients (my NAS ) connected to the dir-825 wired lan.

2.4 ghz clients see everything fine. same with clients connected through the wired lan.

I've tried DHCP and static ips. no idea what to do next.

I was originally on 2.02 fw and have tried 2.03, 2.05 and now 2.06

I'd really like to keep the 5ghz on because I have an AP by my tv and several devices connect from there to stream from the NAS.

I finally rebooted the access point (which my NAS had previously been connedted to) and that cleared up the problem.  The AP was acting as a router and was messing with the dir-825 and 5ghz network.

Recommend a external Gb network switch on the back end of the 825, specially if using a NAS.

Enjoy.
