I am trying to configure my router (DIR-655) to connect to a wireless network so that I can wire my computer into the router. how would I go about doing this? Thanks!

How do you mean configure the 655 router to a wireless network? You mean as a repeater or AP?
Is there a host ISP modem and another WiFi router?

The host network would be a college network thus I would want to connect though a wireless AP. Unfortunately while I am familiar with what an AP is, I'm not sure a what your mean by a repeater. Thanks!

Sounds like your connected to a host wireless access point which is located else where. In this case the 655 can't not be set up in this way as it needs a wired connection to a host modem. It can be turned into a AP however it still needs a wired connection to the host router or AP. This router can't repeat either meaning wirelessly connecting to another wireless AP and thus repeating that signal with out a wired cable. To do this you'd need a DLink DAP model AP that can connect wirelessly to a host AP device and repeat it or act as a bridge.

I would recommend checking out the DLink DAP models, 1360, 1522. I don't think the DAP-1525 repeats though. Any questions, contact DLink Sales office and they'll know a good model for you to use.
