Question on Format Outputs and a 3rd volume?
« on: March 18, 2009, 02:15:23 PM »

I have a DNS-321 with 2 1TB drives in a RAID 1 setup but I'm running out of space.  I believe I can create a RAID 1 with only 100gb off each drive but what will happen to the rest?  Will it create a Volume_2 and a Volume_3 with the remaining space off each drive?  I'm hoping someone will know what outcome I'll get before I waste my time copying all the files off the drives.

Thanks.

If you specify a raid 1 of 100gb (Volume_1), you will be left with your remaining 1800Gb of JBOD (Volume_2).
