Hi,

After reading some newer threads I tried the new Version 4 of Shareport....Sadly the exact same crap output after an ok first page....

Photos in particular do the print on the top part of the page then eject and do another part on the top of the next page.....  Same behavior as old version that I gave up on a while back....

I did like seeing the ink levels again as my little USB print server is single direction and can't get me ink levels... 8-(

Has ANYONE been able to use the shareport utility trouble free.  The print server was the primary reason I changed routers.  Now, the "print half a page and lockup" problem has me going back to sharing the printer through another computer.  I have tried every version from 1 to 4 and the only one that works is the X64 version 3 I have installed on my media server.  The XP box has the problem, the Windows 2000 laptop has the same problem, and don't even talk to me about trying to add a Mac in the process.  Does D-Link have ANY testing of this stuff before throwing it out there.  With all the reports I have read of this I can't believe they are unaware.  A solution or workaround in days is needed.  At very least, an acknowledgement of the problem and the suspected cause would be of help.  Why did I ever buy this thing.  Anyone know where I can find a good print server to replace this?

Think I just replied to your post on the 655 forum....

Shareport, as it was explained to me, is actually a product from Silex, that D-Link has rebadged as shareport....

Shareport, being an after-thought for dlink, it seems..... is not much of a concern even tho many of us were brought into the 655 (and others) because of the usb print server, as you mentioned...goes for me too....
