I have an DIR-655 that I have had for about 5 years now. It has been working great; however, all of a sudden every time I reboot the router, I get control characters at the end of the SSID. I can delete them and save the configuration, but every time I reboot, they come back.
Hardware version: A2
Firmware version: 1.35NA
I have performed a factory reset on the router several times. I have set it up with the following configuration:
802.11 Mode: Mixed 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n
Auto Channel Scan: enabled
Transmission Rate: automatic
Channel Width: 20MHz
Broadcast: invisible
Encryption: WPA-Personal
WPA Mode: Auto
Cipher Type: TKIP and AES
Even if I remove the SSID and disable the wireless configuration, the moment that I enable the wireless it makes the SSID dlin<ctrl character>. I have highlighted the entire field and hit the delete key and then save config, but I keep getting this control character at the end of the SSID.
Any ideas woule be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for all of your effort in assisting with this issue.
