DNS-320 vs PS3 'A DLNA protocol error (2114) has occurred'
« on: April 09, 2012, 06:06:12 PM »

Hey guys,
Am new to the forum and trying to seek help & explination on fixing the bug where my PS3 reports "A DLNA protocol error (2114) has occurred" when trying to view or access files from my new DNS-320.

It once had access (briefly) but all the sub folders were out of order and muddled up.

Presently the PS3 recognises that there is a device attached but can NOT see / read any of the stored pictures, music or movies from it.

All the usual UPnP and DLNA options are enabled on both the PS3 and DNS-320. Both the DNS-320 & PS3 are hard wired into my router, and everything can "see" each other - so this doesn't seem to be a WiFi or ip/address issue.
Can this be fixed? How can I fix this?

I've read a stack of threads; some on the new firmware version release 2.02 - which has been reported as nothing more than vr 2.00 labelled as '2.02' with no actual changes. And which can't be rolled back. So I have NOT done that up-grade.
Presently, the DNLA feature offered on this DNS-320 seems rather false!
Cheers.

Also, similar problem here:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=38656.0

And as per Pablo, my NAS's firmware is at vr 2.00 and PS3 is at what ever the current version is care of Sony.

So, he & I have the same problem but no solutions.
Cheers.

Don't have an answer to your problem but I was not impressed by the default UPnP server on the DNS-320, nor I have a PS3.

However, now I'm running MediaTomb and like it quite a bit. It can be installed along with Fun_Plug.
Check here, they mention the PS3 a few times.
