How To Bridge Router
« on: April 23, 2012, 02:00:46 AM »

I am using a DIR 655 router with a DSL 526B modem/router combo. I always get a message saying
"Oops! The page you requested is not available.". The page doesnt load (It sometimes does if I keep refreshing again and again). I read somewhere that it might be because I have to bridge my modem/router with my router. Could anyone give me a guide on how to do this? Or if anyone has other solutions to this problem? I tried almost everything on here http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?action=printpage;topic=46299.0
Any help would be appreciated  :)

This router can not be bridged and does not support bridging.

I recommend that you bridge the ISP modem and use the PPPoE option on the 655 router. If the ISP modem can not be bridged, then use the DMZ option on the ISP modem and input the WAN IP address the 655 gets from the ISP Modem in to the ISP Modems DMZ.
