Do Over
« on: June 03, 2012, 02:06:42 PM »

I'm not sure if this has been addressed, but did not see it on previous requests.

I started the install when I first got the unit a few years back but never got to complete it and want to reinstall from scratch again.

I've gone onto the unit on my network and go to the web page, but can't remember the username and password I set up.

How can I reset these?

While the DNS-321 is powered on, press and hold the reset button on the rear of the unit for > 8 seconds. The default username/password combination are:

  • username: admin
  • password: [blank]

There is also an FAQ post describing this procedure: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42026.0
