UPnP AV to Vista
« on: March 29, 2009, 04:16:46 PM »

Unit is set to do UPnP enabled, but Vista does not see it. See all other Vista boxes that are sharing media. I thought the DNS-321 would be seen by Vista as a UPnP AV server?

Nobody? Vista can see UPnP devices but not this device for some reason. I'm curious to why. D-Link makes no mention of it in documents. I have the device installed locally with PNP-x or whatever and it's fine that way but it would be nice to just open Media Player and it just automatically discover media.

Did you designate what folder you want to be shared?  (i.e. root or some subfolder?)

Yes and I have a DSM-520 that works fine with it, but not my Vista laptops. I don't care that much really but it would be kind of cool to have.
