Hi

This is confusing so please allow the less techie than the usual people to ask for simple answers - I have the DNS-325 with 3TB WD Green drives and can only see 767GB. There's a lot of material here about which additional drivers and what all - please, someone, explain in simple terms what I need to download, from where, what to do with it and then I will have the full Raid 1 3 TB (2 X 3TB) available...

Thanks!

Gerard

The factory default firmware does not support 3TB HDDs. You can obtain the latest firmware here: ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Multimedia/dns325/Firmware/

  • Download the firmware file to your PC desktop
  • Use a browser to log into the DNS-325 web interface
  • Navigate to: Management > System Management > Firmware Upgrade
  • Upgrade the firmware and reboot the DNS-325
  • Reformat your HDDs

Gerard...Javalawyer is right.   I had the exact same issue when I installed my 3TB drives back in February.   By upgrading to firmware version 1.02, and reformatting the drives, the problem disappeared, everything is now working fine, and the full 3TB is available.
