[BUG] Using NTP server causes frequent reboots
« on: April 06, 2009, 06:44:10 AM »

Hi, when i set the router to update its time using an NTP server, it reboots every 15 seconds or so making it impossible to change settings or use the internet. I'm not having any other issues. I can confirm its a bug since when I manually update the time and don't use an NTP server, everything works perfectly fine, no reboots. What I think happens is the router establishes a connection to the internet (Shows measuring gateway speed screen) and then tries to get NTP time and then screws up or something and then reboots and tries again. Or at least that's what it seems like to me.

Tjis is an old issue which is caused by some NTP servers. Just pick another one (or Dlink's) and see if the problem persists. If so, please state your hardware version and firmware version.

Picked D-Link's NTP server and all is good. I was trying to use an NTP that was close to home since i'm in Australia i was trying to use 0.au.pool.ntp.org and that failed.

All servers give out the same time, so nothing's lost here  ;)
