I just recently purchased a DNS-320, hoping to store all of my videos and photos on it and then having my PS3 stream the files.  But how do I get the PS3 to see it??  I have the DNS-320 plugged into my router, and my laptop sees it fine, but nothing comes on my PS3 or on my ASUS media player.  I'm very new to this, so any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I do not have a PS3 but I guess it is dlna compliant. Thus, if you enable the UPnP AV server in the DNS-320, you should be able to see it.

This can be done by clicking the management tab, then Application management, UPnP AV Server, and you have to select the folder you want to share. Once it is activated, you will see the DNS-320 as a media server.

Depending on the amount of files you want to share, the web UI may take a time to refresh the list. In my experience, sometimes it takes a long time to refresh but it also happened that it took less than a minute.

I gave up on the built-in media server a while ago as it seemed unable to properly handle large libraries (2000+ videos) or large files (1+GB).  Files names wouldn't be tagged properly and it just looked a mess (v2.02 firmware).  It will find your files, but give it some time, you need to enable uPnP under applications and refresh all directories.

If you feel ambitious (seeing as how you claim to be a newbie), then google "Twonky Media Server DNS-320" and read up.  It is worth paying the minimal fee and learning how to set it up if you have a large library and multiple devices (smart phones, tablets, PS3, PC's, etc).  There is a large support network, but fairly confident is not supported by Dlink.

Same problem with 320 on 1.02 firmware. There is no option under upnp for what folders to share.
