1. It is just an experience, nothing scientific.
2. I don't know the reason. I just know that the router collapsed minute by minute while it was connected and it measured and measured the line again and again. After I disconnected, it became configurable immediately, at first after the firmware update and saved the settings at last. (It took more than 1.5 hours while I figured out.)
3. I tried. But to set current date that needs to save settings. After saving, the router was in 1994 again and I should have started this again. Now it works with set date manually. I don't dare try to use automatic configuration.

I fear of it drops itself again.
And what also made me sad a bit, that using the share(d)port is exclusive (I connected a usb stick). There can't be concurrent use. Actually this is not shared, it is just "accessible".
But on the whole, I'm happy because my router works again!
