NAS goes offline?
« on: August 04, 2012, 06:51:25 AM »

I'm running the latest beta code (because I'm using Time Machine on Mountain Lion), but every few days or so my NAS disappears from the network! It's running, I see lights blinking on the network cable connection, but I can't hit it from my Mac, Windows 7 machine, or my DLNA TV.

The only thing that fixes it is when I pull the power cord, let it sit for 30 seconds, and then plug the cable back in. The NAS pops back to normal after that.

Is there a setting a I'm missing where I can make it so my NAS doesn't completely go offline?

Thanks!

Does the mapped drive disappear or you cannot connect via the console? Can you ping your dns from comand prompt when this happens, (ping 192.168.x.xxx) when this happens? Do your computers go to standby/hibernation before this happenens?
