It's possible however if the power strip is faulty or does not provide a good source and current for all devices pluged into it, it could effect other devices.

I recommend using one good quality power strip and for accessory devices, like Modems, routers and swtiches. Use a different one for PCs and monitors as they do draw more power.

The wireless and LAN connections should be enabled either way if both are enabled and connected at the same time.
