Dlink DGL-4500 security

Just a quick question and am looking for recommendations.

Is the NAT/SPI features enough for securing one's home network (other than antivirus/firewall/etc on the computer itself)?  Do you guys use another appliance in front of the DGL-4500?  If so, what are you using?  I've seen a lot of stuff out there (as far as security appliances) so I was curious what you did.
