Worst adapter I've ever had
« on: April 15, 2009, 07:32:40 PM »

This has to be the worst adapter ever. Bought one, worked for 3 days and stopped working completely.
The connection light wont turn on and windows says theres a problem with the device.

Returned it for a new one. This one hangs on the connection every 3 min. or so. Makes gaming IMPOSSIBLE. Tried to download new drivers from the dlink web page because normally this helps.

Nope, apperantly I have a revision D1. You only have drivers for revisions a,b and c. You dont even have any documentation for a revision D!!!

So I return it AGAIN and end up getting another revision D!!! Now this one needs disconnected and reconnected to the router every 10 min. or so or the internet will stop working on it!!!!
What a frickin joke.

I have a 2 week old d-link wireless N router as well. My desktop with a ralink internal adapter and my other laptop with linksys WIRELESS B work perfect on this network, but EVERY 130 I get dont.

Dont even get me started with customer support. I will NEVER buy a d-link adapter again. Thats what I get for trying to save a few bucks. Tomorrow ill return this (and the router for that matter) for the last time for a linksys and NEVER AGAIN D-LINK!

Do yourself a favor......buy a linksys or a belkin. Hell I had to type this in notepad and copy/paste, my dlink dwa-130 adapter wont stay connected long enough to post it!!!

Linksys and Belkin have the same issues. Exchange your defective equipment for a revision below 'd' or call technical support.

It is almost impossible to get a lower revision below D as the "stock" in most local stores would now all be the level D revision.
