Hi,
I own two DCS 2130 and one DCS 2230.
Both models have been sold with really ugly firmwares. However, the recently released V1.10 firmware for the DCS-2230 has fixed all major problems.

This still has not happened with 2130, even almost a year away from when the model was launched . The wireless network functionality was not working on 1.00! So some months ago I decided to update from the 1.00 to the beta DCS-2130_V1.01.03_test1. The wireless connectivity on this firmware now works but it's unstaable: connectivity drops frequently and stays disconnected for several hours until it's reconnected again. Plus, there are a few bugs here and there like DDNS is not updated regularly as it should or NTP time not being synced periodically right. They should be addressed like they were on the higher end model DCS-2230.

I've been googling around and found some firmwares on the web though.

Firmware out of the box:
DCS-2130_a1_v1.00 Wireless network functionality does not work at all.

DLink RU (FTP)
Beta Firmware: DCS-2130_V1.11.01.bin 24-Sep-2012 13:09  14M Newest beta firmware, also called "1.11wireless". Additions like COS, IPV6, Multicast and several bugfixes. Better and richer than the previous firmwares, but the wireless connection still drops frequently. Although there are no release notes for it, this firmware is clearly based on the DCS-2230 V1.10.02 released firmware so release notes should be the same. I'm using this firmware right now.

Has anybody tested them?
Any help will be appreciated.

The D-Link Global site you are referencing is commonly known as D-Link Taiwan site, as the .tw suffix denotes Taiwan.  The release notes for that version are essentially blank and the firmware file name seems to stray from normal D-Link convention.  This firmware looks like a one-off version made for a specific purpose and may contain language-centric changes. I'm not sure about the unique versions on the D-Link Italy site either.

As always, please be careful when installing region-specific firmware, even if the files are posted on an official D-Link source. Firmware posted for non-WW and non-NA regions may adversely impact your hardware and/or user experience (especially if the changes relate to language/time).

You're right, it's DLink TW. I fixed that, I don't want to get anyone confused.
I found a newer beta firmware on the DLink RU site. Added link on the first post.

I'm aware I have to take some risks by installing these region specific beta firmwares but as it was already proven, DLink support is close to NULL. If I had decided to wait for an official firmware update for my DCS 2130, after one year since bought, I wouldn't even have WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY. The product is sold claiming it as one of its features, but it does not work officially. How ridiculous is that? There are no official firmware updates.
The only solution seems to be trying a beta firmware and crossing your fingers. I'm done waiting and waiting.

Thanks for the updated links.  If you're intent on testing this firmware, please post your comments and observations for others to see.  

Also, please post the FW version/source that you ultimately decided to use.

I have the same problem. DCS2130 Firmware 1.0 is not working for wireless connection. Wher am I supposed to find the Firware upgrade? I can't find it anywhere on your website. I heard and have seen below that there is a BETA test1 firmware but I can't find it too.

Need urgently.

I have a exposure issue on my DCS-2130 with stock 1.0.0 firmware.

Seems like there won't be any official support to my situation anyway. I'm in Brazil and I'm thinking about testing other firmware that allows exposure customization, which version do you recommend?

BTW, I don't have any connectivity problems with my 1.0.0 firmware.

New firmware v1.20 release as of 31st May 2013 - this appears to have fixed my motion detection issues and stablity!
