Recently setup this router and for the likes of me can't get port forwarding to work.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
What region are you located?

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems.
Double NAT
To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged.
If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1.
Turn off ALL QoS or Disable Traffic Shaping (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.
Enable uPnP and Multi-cast Streaming under Advanced/Networking. Disable uPnP for testing Port Forwarding rules.
WAN Port Speed set to Auto or specific speed? Some newer ISP modems support 1000Mb so manually setting to Gb speeds can be supported by the router. Advanced/Advanced Networking/WAN Port Speed

What application or connection are you needing to PF?

Wan Port speed is set to auto

Radmin: Remote PC Program

But this is not the only ports I forward. I've completely reset the router and redone the above port and it's still not allowing connection from outside the LAN.

What model # is this Ubee modem?
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.

Also make sure to disable any 3rd party security SW like firewalls and AV while testing and confuring this. This can effect how remote apps connect in and out.

Lets try using Virtual Server and see if this will allow the connection in. I personally use Teamviewer which doesn't need any PF. I've only used Radmin a couple of times and don't remember having to set up any ports. Does Radmin specify port numbers to use when needed?

Firewall settings have been set to Endpoint Independent for tcp and udp

the default port of Radmin is 4899 but I don't use that. I use port 50005

I've set many a router up for Radmin, mIRC, ftp's, etc and never ran into problems I am with this router.

Can you log into the UBee modems mangagement page? Try 192.168.100.1 Might find model info here.

I presume you'll need to use Radmins port or do they allow you to use custom ports? I might contact them to be sure. I would start with default ports first then when and if we can get Radmin working on the router, then maybe switch port numbers.

Reason why i'm asking about modem is I'm trying to make sure your network is only using a single NAT. If by chance the modem has a built in router, this will be double NAT and will cause connection problems. Is the 835 getting a public IP address or a private one? 192.168.0.#?

I can assure you that the Ubee modem does not have a built in firewall or routing. I'm familiar with Teamviewer and also use that but the point remains that I still can't forward any ports with this router. I have Teamviewer installed on this PC and will be more than glad for you to take a look if you like.

Just found my DIR-825 PF settings when I had been using FTP server.

There are 2 rules:
FTP1 using port 50117 on TCP and UDP, Sched Never, Inbound Allow All

FTP2 using port 20, 21 on TCP and UDP, Sched Never, Inbound Allow All

These were working well when I had the FTP Server going. I presume that maybe instead of using 20,21, I would use the default Radmin port 4899 and then use the custom port 50005 you want in the first rule.

I haven't had time to test this on my DIR-857.

OK..... I can access using virtural ports but this still doesn't explain why I shouldn't be able to use port forwarding? I have some programs that need multiple ports open and using virtural server would be a pain to set those.

Can you list the other programs that need specific ports opened?
I might try using QOS maybe for those and see if that helps
When you configure QoS, If you use port# From 0  and To 65535
Remote IP address should be From 0.0.0.0 and To 255.255.255.255
Protocol should be Both or try ANY.
Priority set to 128 as this is normal priority.
Is uPnP enabled or disabled?
