Unfortunately this is not true. The fan is a AVC DS04010B12U which is a 40x40x10 mm. It is quite noisy, and I have ordered a Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX to replace it. At least the AVC fan i 12v, so it's easier to find a suitable replacement

No I did not know that! I can see that my WD Green disk have had more load cycles, from a weeks usage, then my Samsung disk have had in 1,5 years of usage. Thank you very much for this information. I will increase the idle time for the headparking immediately

I'm well aware of the document you mentioned.

Thank you for providing info on the cooling fan, my initial observation of its size was based on photo taken of the chassis but couldn't made up the fan P/N. I will re-post my earlier comment with the correct info.
