question about firmware downgrade
« on: November 07, 2012, 01:49:18 PM »

Hello everyone, Furry was helping me with some issues on fb while I couldnt register on these forums and he mentioned something about having to roll back firmware from 1.23 to 1.15 or 1.16. I have a DGL-4500 A1. I was wondering if the process that is used is this one

http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r23720820-downgrade-possible-DGL-4500-1.2xNA-1.15

if this isnt the process that is the best will yall point me in the right direction and which is renowned as better 1.15 or 1.16

here is the log for the time frame that this occured it happens about every day or so

I would try with Gamefuel ON then test with it OFF.
Test with Dynamic Defrag ON and OFF.
Test with Automatic Uplink On and OFF, manually set the Uplink value.
Ensure uPnP is enabled.

If you only have 1 xbox online at your place, I don't think GF will be needed.

If you disconnect the PS, do you still see the ICMP entries. Does it only happen if you use the PS?

The other log enteries is the firewall doing its job and just reporting it. Seems like your ISP has alot of junk on the line.

Possible they are not filtering some of the stuff seen. The router seems to be catching a lot of junk and blocking it. Some ISPs don't filter like others. Ther router is doing it's job.

Can you post a picture capture of your gaming settings?
If your only using one device while gaming, Gamefuel may not be needed.
