I have a DNS-325 with a single HDD installed, configured as a Standard Volume. I want to add another Standard Volume HDD. I plan to add the HDD by doing the following:
1.) Shut down and unplug the DNS-325.
2.) Insert the new HDD (leaving the current drive where it is).
4.) Plug in and boot up the DNS-325.
4.) Format the new HDD as a Standard Volume using the Disk Management tool in the web interface. I expect the new HDD to be identified as Volume_2.
5.) Mount the new HDD as a drive in Windows using the D-Link NAS discovery tool.
Are the steps above correct? I don't want to risk losing data on the existing drive. Thanks in advance for any help.
