DHCP RESERVATIONS LIST
« on: November 26, 2012, 05:33:22 PM »

Hardware Version : A1 Firmware Version : 1.01

ok, i reserve for each device, and i setup QoS.

the ip keep changing every time the router restarts.

for example if the xbox had an ip of 192.168.0.100
then if i restart the router to save settings, the pc gets the ip of 192.168.0.100

now i have to resetup everything. why is this happening?

What browser are you using to manage the router?
I use IE and recommend it over Chrome. Opera or FF work well.

Ensure the xbox is set up for automatic networking as well, don't put a static IP address there.

i'm testing this router out because 857 was out of stock.

i'll see how this router goes.

one thing i don't like is the ips keep changing every restart.

They shouldn't. They don't on mine however I'm using v1.02 FW. I don't remember seeing this on v1.01 though when I first got the 645.  :-\

i was using EI browser.

any ideas how to fix it

ok, i got it now. when i reserved an xbox, it didn't had a name so it needed a host name.

the wireless signal on this router is pretty stronge. this SmartBeam technology is amazing.

Good to hear you got it going. Ya, sometimes the host names need to be filled in. They usually come from the device if the host name is entered there as well. You can enter it in on the xbox network settings. It helps to identify the devices on the network.

Keep us posted. If you need help let us know. It's good router.
