I cannot figure out why there is so much congestion. My neighborhood is not congested.

I am connected now. The failures are so random. I can see about 19 signals right now.

Why would it only boot my laptops?
Why does a reset fix it if there is still so much interference?

What is your security set at? According to your location you are congested. Think about if every one of those houses had a wireless N router every one in that vicinity would get a signal.

Speaking of congestion, it's WiFi congestion that Im talking about. Other users in your area that have various other WiFi routers.

The reset on the router attempts to establish a connection on a channel then when it encounters other WiFi routers using the same channel, it eventually stops due to the interferences.

You got way to my neighboring WiFi routers on 2.4Ghz using up all the channels. You need to lok at going to 5Ghz.

Switched to channel 11 and looks to have solved the problem. Most of the others signals I am seeing in my area are default to 6, and so was my D-Link.

Good to hear. Just keep in mind that of channel 11 becomes used besides you, you might want to consider going to 5Ghz radio with a different router or get you a 5Ghz DAP model and connect to the 655.
