HELP with firmware update for MAC?? ANYONE Please???

Hello, I am wondering if anyone could, please, please help! I have a the dir-615. I am running the firmware version 3.01. I have a macbook and have heard that I need to update the firmware to get this router working better. Does anyone know where I would find that update and how I do it?
Sorry this is all new to me. I have always used airports but have had to switch to something else so I got this model. It has worked fine except for the fact that I can only go online for 5-10 minutes and then it goes offline and I have to go to my network diagnostics to get back online again. Also when I turn my mac book on it always seems to take a few minutes before I can get online. Does anyone know anything about this?
If you could reply I would be very appreciative. Thanks so much!!
