I read all topics related to the same issue, but I didn't find any satisfactory explanation of that strange messages I noticed. In my log I have the message: "Access denied to wireless system with MAC address
0020008E971E". When I checked the vendor for this MAC, it shows Lexmark international inc, which fact
make me feel something is wrong. My first thought was that
somebody trying to break into my net but I am close to accept that the owner of Lexmark WiFi printer without an idea in networking, just tried to connect it to his network and after failing to do that, it's wired and wireless features are still on.  But still could  this be bug or something? I am posting some logs when I first discovered the problem and after I granted access to the device with the MAC address 0020008E971E. I forgot to tell you, that before I decided to post here I did firmware upgrade from Hardware version A3 1.10 to 1.35NA (I bought it from US) with factory default restore. The result was absolutely the same - the messages kept coming "Access denied to wireless system with MAC address 0020008E971E". So I granted access to that MAC and checked the logs again. There is a line in the log that stated "primary:" What is this network I have no idea (mine has the name saxon:) Can somebody with more experience in that matter, give reasonable explanation. Just the logs stating that there was an attempt to gain access to the wireless system on the 655 by this device and whom ever or this device keeps trying to access your SSID name and wireless however it's failing probably since the Password is incorrect.

They can see the SSID if they are close to the router or in range so the device or the operator of the device is attempting to gain access. The router is doing it's job and just reporting it.

Thanks for the fast reply. Yes I am sure the router doing it's job but still if this is an attack it's going without any pause, I mean it doesn't matter which time of the day I am checking my logs this keep going. And I have drops of the connection. So that is the main reason to think about bug or something and also who will attempt to do this at any time without pause if it's not bot? Thanks again.

Have you talked to the owner of this device to see if he aware of whats going on and to see if they can stop there device from trying to access the router?

What wireless modes are you using? Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
Try setting a manual channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.
What wireless devices do you have connected?
Any cordless house phones?
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer to find out. How many?
Turn off WISH, and WPS under Advanced.
Try turning off Short GI, WLAN Partition,and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
Enable WMM Enable Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.

You might try to set the SSID to HIDDEN and see how it goes. You'll need to ensure that your other devices can connect to the hidden SSID name.

Thank you very much FurryNutz. You were very helpful just on time. The first thing I tried and I think the problem is solved. I just unchecked Enable box on Wireless Protected Setup and reboot it, so I can't see anymore any attempt from that (whatever it is) device to connect.
 I am just curious what was the reason for that thing. Does it mean that somebody just push a WPS button on that printer and left it like that on and it's keep trying to connect to the first network on the list or it is something different? Thanks once again!

Well if they press the WPS button it should time out and stop trying to query the router. Glad you got it fixed though.
