Remote Access
« on: January 08, 2013, 01:04:11 AM »

I have DNS-320 and have set up ddns account and used port forwarding via GUI on my virgin media (not so) super Hub. when i try to log in remote i get the following message

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /UI on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

does anyone have any pointers for me? ???

What are you trying to achieve as you have no details. Are you trying to access FTP / HTTP / HTTPS. I assume you are trying to access remotely over the internet so what are you using Internet explorer to ftp or a ftp client etc? Do you know your external IP? Have you tried connecting to that rather than the ddns name?

The more info the more chance of help. I am in the uk using a VM Superhub also but mine is in modem only mode but I can access mine ok via my netgear router. That error sounds like its connecting to something other than your dlink so is the port forward to the right internal IP?

Firstly, are you sure your DDNS setup works as expected? I.e. are you sure, that pinging your DNS name will indeed reach your router?

Does anyone have a good guide that will show me to achieve remote access in the method described above using OpenDNS?
