Information transfer from 2.4GHz to 5.0GHz
« on: April 28, 2009, 06:18:21 PM »

Hey, I have an Xbox running on my 5.0GHz band and was wondering how I could get the 360 to see my PCs that are running on the seporate 2.4GHz band as I can't stream my music and video without putting my Xbox onto 2.4Ghz which is much more crowded at my place.

Is there a way to have the 360 communicate with the router with the 5.0GHz signal and the PCs running at 2.4GHz and still have communication between the two of them?  I'm assuming its possible but I've got not much clue on how to get started.

Thx,
David.

In the Advance Wireless "option" (In Advanced tab)  if the WLAN Partition is checked "on" then the wireless "clients" are prevented from seeing any other client.

Thanks for the reply... its however odd that both on the 2.4GHz and the 5.0GHz the WLAN Partition is UNCHECKED.  Anything else that would do it?

[EDIT] Actually I resolved the issue... both bands require the same SSID to work with eachother as I had 2 seporate SSIDs so I wasnt confused which one was which, it works fine this way though.
