Comcast cable. Apparently they recommend the MTU setting of 1500. I think the problem with Xbox Live was with port forwarding. Somehow it got unchecked during all the changes.
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?I have searched that event ID and returned none to minimal results.
If all else continues to fail I will resort to your suggestion. Like I said, the problem happened after I changed my router. No problems before.
Try this after your factory reset and see if setting up a QoS rule for your PC will help. Use the XBL port listed for the 360. This will work in the same way for a PC: Gaming and QoS for XBLI was watching the network traffic and noticed a couple drops in bandwidth through WMC.

Just reporting that its adding the IP address to it's list of connected devices.does this mean? Is this computer losing its connection? The only other recent change (before new router) was a gigabit ethernet card on this PC.
