When i connect my Dlink 2750u dsl to another modem via lan... and starts my dlink modem, it automatically turns itself into switch(red light on internet connection status)... but i want to use it as host modem that connects to the internet via ppoe... and use my another modem as router...

I presume the 2750u should be bridged then it will act just as a Modem only, then you can connect your other router to it and use it as your host router. Please refer to the User Manual for any bridging information or contact your regional local D-Link support office and they should be able to help you with the 2750u modem.
