usernames and permissions
« on: February 18, 2013, 05:57:06 AM »

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to figure this out for a while but still cant. when i make usernames and set permissions to specific folders to be accessed. it just doesn't show. however the first username that i made for myself works and shows every all volumes and folders, however everyone i make after that it shows nothing. i even tried to replicate the same permissions but still nothing shows up... any idea as to why thats happening?

thanks all

Try creating a group and adding the users you want to have access to it.  For instance I created 2 groups, trusted and untrusted, trusted people are given read/write while untrusted are given read only.

Do you mean they don't show when you map the shares or they don't show when you access through web UI?

Same problems for me, but I updated a similar post reporting the same issue here:  http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=51592.0
I have yet to find a solution to this, and it's annoying.
