Problem-- ahhh help
« on: March 08, 2013, 03:12:40 AM »

Ok Ive had my dns320 for sometime now and it seems that all the sudden I cant connect to my lovely NAS.

Originally I have been connecting via an 192.168.0.101 via a network shortcut (I believe I changed the address originally) which has worked lovely for sometime. Now I cant connect and I don't have details of the web address to configure the nas. I have tried a reset but it doesn't seem to have worked either.

Could someone confirm what the default ip for setting up the nas is? I have tried to use the default app for the dlink website but on the select a device page nothing appears. I'm hoping my nas isnt dead but cant seem to get anything at the moment. All the lights are on seems to be working at least from a power point of view.

Cheers

Log into the web UI for your router. The router web UI will contain a networked device table providing the IP address of everything connected to your router. Once you have that list, simply try all of the IP addresses until you find the DNS-320.

From what you describe, it sounds like the router released the IP address of the DNS-320 and assigned a new IP address, which can happen for a variety of reasons.
