Router window default on browser
« on: March 14, 2013, 06:44:09 PM »

Hello,

Id like to keep private the fact that im using a Dlink router, for exemple, if someone tries to connect to my network they will be directed to a page with something like,d-link error page Oops! The page you requested is not available

Where can I delete this function, so that there is no page at all shown ??

Thanks

Link>Welcome!
What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
What region are you located?

Try inputing the Primary and 2ndary DNS addresses found on the Status/Device Info/Wan section into the Setup/Internet/Manual section. Then disable DNS Relay on Setup/Networking. Reboot the router and ALL other devices and let us know if this helps.

Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual or under Setup/PARENTAL CONTROL/Set to>None: Static IP or Obtain Automatically From ISP. Select Save Settings, Then check to see if DNS relay is still grayed out.

Told the router that you want to use DNS set up and not managed by the router and to use DNS addresses detected by the router from the ISP Modem and services and just forward them to the connecting clients.

Glad its working for you.

Enjoy.
