Help! i think i've bricked my 323
« on: March 17, 2013, 10:42:57 AM »

Hi, I'm sorry if i come across as a complete noob, it's because I am!

I was trying to install debian onto my 323 using the following instrctions http://www.cyrius.com/debian/orion/d-link/dns-323/

I have started installing Debian but when trying to install I get the following message (except debian instread of ubuntu)

http://www.colinmcnamara.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/ubuntu-cobbler-error.png

I have tried loads of different mirrors in loads of different countries and it won't get any further. Can anyone give me some advice to either go forward and install debian or go back to the original firmware.

I feel i may have an electronic brick otherwise.
Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Well, you are trying something that voids your warranty and and is VERY far outside the boundaries of THIS forum, so I would suggest you go back to where you got your info and see if there are any recovery steps or someone that is familiar with what you are doing. This forum is for those using the DNS323 in an approprite (warranty-friendly) manner who have questions about the firmware. apps, configuration, etc.
