What is Jumbo Frame?

can anyone give me a background of what is Jumbo Frame setting? and what is it normally used for?

I tired searching the forum anyone have a URL if it has already been answered?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumbo_frame I may have found the answer, it's an option to basicly provide a large data/bytes transfer but the hardware has to support it and it mainly is used on a gigabit network some fast Ethernet 100 mbit networks support it

Correction - gigabit is not supported on 100mbit Ethernet.
