I purchased a new D-Link DIR-857. Set it up and got it running all the wi-fi in the house no problem. Installed latest FW for Router (1.04) and got that installed into router without an issue. Still running all the wi-fi great without issue. Loaded latest version of SharePort Plus (4.2.0R1). It loaded without issue. Plugged my HP-PSC2170 into DIR-857 without issue and SharePort recognized it without issue. SharePort identified it as available and I was able to switch it to connected without issue. Tried to print page from SharePort Manual for a test and my iMac does not recognize the printer being connected. If I connect printer to iMac I can print, but if it connected to router no go. Please help

Last time I tested my Mac Book Pro was with 10.6.8 and 10.7.3 and I believe it was working then. However I haven't tested since I updated my 10.6.8 to 10.7.3 and recently did a clean install of 10.8.3 on my other partition. I'll test this out with my hp LaserJet p2014n today and see. I presume there could be a problem with 10.8.3 maybe.

I would recommend that you phone contact DLink support and ask for tier 2 or higher support and inquire about this.

Well, checking OSX 10.7.5 and 10.8.3 wired LAN connected to a 857 loaded with v1.04, SP v420 sees the router however hp LaserJet p2014n connected via USB still fails to be seen by SP. SP sees my test SD card loaded in the slot however no files are displayed when connected. Seems like some odd behavior here.

I would recommend that you phone contact DLink support and ask for Tier 2 or higher support on this.

Thanks for the investigation. I should have time on Thursday to connect with D-Link Phone support. Can I dropped them your handle to make sure I can get to tier 2 right away?

You can, however you don't have to. Tell them that this matter is not a level 1 issue and you have already done the level 1 troubleshooting. Politely ask for level 2 or higher support. Might even just ask for level 3 as the last time I dealt with DLink support and Shareport, I had ended up with level 3 support on the DIR-645.
