Hi!
I noticed that an specific site cannot load - no response to ping either. I tried that site bypassing the DIR-600 and no problem to connect. I tried sugestions from http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=49460.0 with no result. My config is:

- 2.15 firmware ver. feb.2013, Hardware ver. Bx

dynamic ip (DHCP) from ISP
static ip on LAN

- DNS relay, DHCP server -enabled
- QOS disabled
- UPnP, Multicast streams, Wireless enhance mode -enabled
- Application rules -NO, Website filter -NO, Firewall -NO, SPI -NO, DMZ -NO

so what settings should I try?

Tryed also "Obtain automatic ip" setting on my ethernet card.... with no result

What region are you located?
Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
Has a Factory Reset been performed?

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual or under Setup/PARENTAL CONTROL/Set to>None: Static IP or Obtain Automatically From ISP.
Enable Use Unicasting (compatibility for some ISP DHCP Servers) under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
If IPv6 is an option on the router, select Local Connection Only or Disable IPv6 options under Setup/IPv6.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.
Set current Time Zone, Date and Time. Use an NTP server feature. Tools/Time.

What page? As Furry suggested, probably a issue with Advanced DNS, but it also could be a IP block. When you bypass your router, you MAC address changes, and thus your IP changes. Is it like a gambling site? Something hosted overseas?

I am from Romania, I have Cable service...
I think I know how to manage router settings (no offense)

I do not remember that setting... (sorry, at this time I'm not at home)
I have a Thomson modem (I will give you model from home) from ISP
I tried all settings you say (except those from IPv6 -they are firmware default)
I will try everything you say when I'll go home...

It is not a gambling site... (I do not have that habit...   ) is (I don't want to advertise, but...) electricafmn.ro

As Furry suggested, probably a issue with Advanced DNS

something like that I have in mind but I am not sure...

I tried everything you say... same result! nothing... I begin to think there is a "catch" on their side (site servers) regardless to dns, routing or something else...
I can access site from elsewhere (still d-link router -dir100-   ) but from home no. Thank you for help.
I setup DHCP reserved, IPv6 set to "local connetion only", firewall off (by the way I do not have option "Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP" setting under Advanced/Firewall), setup automatic time update from ntp server.
Website filter, Network filter, QOS engine - off
I setup devices to automatic ip... nothing.
And... Restore To Factory Default Settings... same result

I do not have Parental Control, Advanced DNS Services, Enable Use Unicasting options.

The modem is Thomson model TCM390.

Does the ISP modem have a built in router by chance?
If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems.
Double NAT
To tell if the modem is bridged or not, look at the 601 routers web page, Status/Device Info/Wan Section, if there is a 192.168.0.# address in the WAN IP address field, then the modem is not bridged.
If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ.

Yea, this is a weird one. The ISP actually determines if it has a firewall/NAT/etc by the firmware loaded on it.

  no, the modem do not have a built in router... is just a modem....

and no, there isn't.  192.168.100.1 is the ip of the modem...

Was the router recently updated?
Was it working before updating at all?
Was a factory reset performed both before and after sending the FW update and then set up from scratch?

If you refer to that site, I really don't know... The site is up from a recent period of time...
If you refer to router, It works flawlessly without an error or crush - nothing to say about that

b.w. I have seen some modem documentation and has a built in router and firewall but is only optional. Anyway, I do not have software or user manual from ISP. They came at home, setup modem and that's it.. bye... The only thing I can do to the modem is to access from FF and surf 2 pages/4 (in the other 2 I can see a thing -blank page-). And on the log page I see some warnings and errors...

One site I found either a Spanish or Italian version, however on Page 23, it shows a external network switch being connected to allow for multiple LAN devices to be connected. This tells me that this model probably has a built in router. However, thats doesn't mean that yours was disabled.

Let us know what the DIR-601 WAN IP address is. If the ISP modem is fully bridged then the WAN IP address on the 601 should be similar to this: ##.##.###.###

You might contact Thompson Mfr directly and ask them if there is a User Manual for this modem. Hard to find one.

Since this model modem seems to be hard to find good information on, you might ask your ISP if there is a more recent updated model that you can use and has some supporting information that goes with it.

You have right! Does not mean it is disabled.

I see that me and that site is hosted by same ISP... I'll ask them
