[HELP] D'link DIR-600 HW:BX FV:2.05 UPDATE FIRMWARE

Hi, can anyone help me here to update the firmware of my D'link,
or change it firmware where i can take a full control on the wireless connection
because sometimes when my brothers use wifi it bother my gaming activity i always get disconnected
so I want to Set-up or Limit the Connection of the WiFi..

What region are you located?

This router only has basic QoS settings, On and OFF, and does not have any limiting features to control bandwidth.

If you and your brother do any sort of gaming then your going to need a different router with custom QoS features.

im from Philippines

ahh are you saying that any kind of firmware wont help me ?

btw. what i want to happen is.. example
may router is releasing 100% of connection i just want to make it to 50% or lower :)
is this possible??

DLink doesn't have any kind of FW that controls the amount of bandwidth. Only certain models have QoS features that you can tell the router to prioritize connected clients, so in effect this does some limiting however more or less ensures that everyone gets fair share of bandwidth wile gaming and others are just surfing the net.

You can review this to see what other model router QoS custom features has:
Gaming and QoS for XBL
Using this helps gaming and other connected clients work well.

If your router does have custom QoS features then yes, you could use some of the settings..if not, the you'll need a different model router.

i have made some experiment.. i try to differentiate the default setting and the edited QoS setting and this is the result




Right side is the Default and Left Side is the customized

and it differ in the upload speed ..
icant understand,, can you explain this?

It will effect both and only the upload speeds of any device connected.
