 Keep seeing this error message in my router log. " /rootDesc.xml not found, responding ERROR 404" - What does it mean? How do I fix it?
Is there a list of error codes (and explanations) for the DIR-655 router somewhere?

I see this has been viewed 20x's. Others must be getting it too. Does anybody know what this error means?

We presume there is a minor problem in FW however I don't think it effects anything. There is nothing we can fix for it here in the forums or on your router.

DLinks error codes are mostly internal for diagnostic purposes and not available to the public.

Are you experiencing problems with your router? If so, please post the problems you are having and we'll help you get them fixed if we can. Any problems that can not be fixed here in the forums, you'll need to phone contact DLink support.

I'm having this same error on my DIR655. I just did the firmware upgrade and I've been having issues with my router losing it's wireless connection prior to the upgrade and now after the upgrade. Any suggestions woudl be wonderful. I'm not the most technical person around so good directions are extremely helpful.

I updated to the beta firmware located here http://support.dlink.ca/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DIR-655 and was able to eliminate this error from my logs.

Glad you see it resolved your issue how it would be nice to know what "beta" you found at that link. I don't see any beta listed there.    Also would be nice to know what HW version this is for too. However I presume that just loading the latest and greatest would work too.

DaveVT, do you still have a Rev A DIR-655 and if so, can you verify that these xml errors are gone in v1.37 if you have it loaded? I'd like to confirm that this has been fixed if you had seen this issue before in other versions. Just curious here.

I have A2 on 1.37 but have never had those type of errors on the logs.  I think the xml errors are only on the B models because the logging is different on them.
