I just saw what you were talking about in the cumulative release notes. I was having the issue where I could not stream video from outside my non-UPNP router on my Mac, but it was working fine on my Windows machine. It seems that Apple's QuickTime player was trying to open a secondary connection to a port that was being dynamically allocated by the camera and could not be mapped on my router due to its lack of UPNP support. Windows streamed just fine over port 80. I wonder if that's what they mean by "Support Apple HTTP live streaming," that they have a workaround.
There is a new camera plugin that takes the place of the Java app. If I access my camera using HTTPS, the plugin immediately crashes in Safari, Firefox, and Opera. But if I use regular HTTP, then the plugin works.
